Tony Morgan is a Senior Systems Technician for Wagner Meters, where he is a part of a team that develops and tests Wagner products. He works with new products to ensure they are fully ready for the market, and also works with customer support and makes sure existing products are properly maintained. This position suits Tony perfectly, as he has always been drawn to anything mechanical, and he always wants to keep learning new things.
Eager to see the world, Tony graduated high school early and joined the military at 17. Before he was 20, he had already repelled, unloaded a ship, and hiked 10 miles in one day with a 70-lb pack. After leaving the military, he worked for a tree service and owned a trucking company and a laundromat, which were perfect outlets for his mechanical skills.
Now he holds degrees in Electronics Technology and Business Management and makes it a priority to keep up with the latest trends in each. He is always looking for new ways to improve upon existing products, and he helped develop improvements for in-line moisture measurement systems.
Additionally, his technical writing skills complement his 22 years of experience in electronics, which comes in handy for testing and proofreading operations manuals for Wagner Meters products.
Tony is often the first person at work in the morning. He enjoys the Wagner Meters’ location, where he can watch deer, turkeys, raccoons, foxes, squirrels, and even the occasional skunk while he waits for his coworkers.
When he’s not at work, Tony likes to travel. He thoroughly enjoys what Oregon has to offer: caves, coasts, deserts, mountains and more. He also likes to go fishing for salmon, trout, and steelhead. He is also a history buff that loves to read, and he has a fascination with ancient siege technology. He is definitely the guy to ask how something works!
